Vtp not updating packet tracer
There is no answer with configure trunk links so we have to choose the solution “change VTP mode to server and enable 802.1q”.
But this is a dangerous solution because this switch can “update” other switches with its VLAN database via VTP.

Switching has become the standard for most company internal network infrastructure as each port maintains its own collision domain, and with the advent of VLANs further allow the engineer to segment the network into multiple, smaller broadcast domains.
In this tutorial, we are going to apply VLAN on packet tracer.
By using the “show spanning-tree” command as shown above, we learned that DSW1 is the root bridge for VLAN 20 (notice the line “This bridge is the root”).
From the output above we see Switch Company A cannot receive VTP updates from Switch Company B.
Therefore we should check the trunking links connecting two switches. VLANs 2–1000 are eligible for pruning but VLAN 1 has a special meaning because it is normally used as a management VLAN and is not eligible for pruning.
Therefore, we can deduce that the priority of DSW1 switch is lower than the priority of the CORE switch so it becomes the root bridge.
To make the CORE the root bridge we need to increase the DSW1’s priority value, the best value should be 61440 because it is the biggest value allowed to assign and it will surely greater than of CORE switch.
